are there such things?
I saw a deer today but couldn't get my camera fast enough.
I swear it was no bigger than a good sized coyote and had no spots.
It was with 2 bucks and saw no does around.

In overpopulated areas, deer can be on the smaller side. Several years ago on Ft.Cobb State Park/WMA the biologist told me the average weight of the does harvested was 47 pounds dressed. A couple years ago it was around 85 pounds, but I can't remember the number for certain. The doe I harvested was 108 pounds dressed. 1 of 2 that dressed over a 100 pounds that year.

This certainly isn't applicable to this region but in the Florida Keys there is a population of whitetail deer that are dwarfed due to the scarcity of an available freshwater source.
