I set it on 85 in the summer when I’m not there and 78 when I am, and in the winter, I set the heat on 50 when I’m not there and 68 when I am.

We run ours here in TX on 78 and 68 too.

I was told 85 will begin to have a negative effect on nonperishable foods (can goods)

A/C is set at 74° day and 72° night.
Breathing issues, they KMA, I'm not moving it. Would do 70°, but freezes at 74°.
Heat stays on 68°, I am good, she can wear sweats.

Bill goes way up or I would run a/c at 68°. As long as the libturds push EVs, I'm running A/C. If we leave town, set it to 80°, no higher.

I guess it’s possible, but I’ve been doing this for 5 years and still eating the food out of my pantry. I haven’t got sick….YET.

The irony to me is that there was no mention of a person not charging their electric car, but to be honest, I’d be shocked if there’s more an a half dozen electric vehicles in the ACE service area.

That would be a pretty generous estimate lol.

The effects as I recall are simply a decrease in the vitamins and nutrients so wont make you sick but wont be as nutritious I guess.

I keep mine at 70 year round i would like to keep it lower but wife has threatened to kill me if i do she says she is already freezing to death as it is.

Oh heck no, I’d have to buy a lock box and put on it if you were around.

Dang, some of you guys like it cold. We set it at 77° during the day and 74° at night. That would be some electric bill to keep it at 70°. I’m betting $500-$600/mo at a minimum.

My elec bill for last month was $235 the highest i have had so far this year.
