Enfield conversions?

Does anybody have any experience with Enfields converted to .45acp? Are they worth messing with or more of a pain?

i saw one on gb for 650. i think it would be cool but its just a single shot,right? anyway, this guy had done all the work already. sounds like quite the undertaking if you plan on converting one yourself

Have a couple of kits from s i a getting ready to do them got to decide what donor guns to use---i also got their scope mounts they look good

I did one by Rhineland Arms years ago. I wasn't pleased with the size of the chamber. I think overall it was a failure for the company. I believe they changed their name after their failure. They quit answering their phones also.

I'm thinking when 45ACP was available cheap as surplus they might have been more appealing, or at least the converters thought that was the case.
