This is a folding trigger Lefaucheux from the Civil War era. It has proof marks, but I am unable to find the maker's proof in any source I have tried. It is most likely Belgian. It is mostly operable (hammer cocks, trigger works, but cylinder does not advance on cocking). Looking for .32 auto or revolver or .25 auto in trade.
Interesting side note: This is the model that Vincent Van Gogh, the artist, used to kill himself in 1890.

Is it safe to fire?
