EV vs IC

I'm not ready for EV but I did just get a 2024 Honda CRV Hybrid. 39 mpg around town and about 32 mpg on the little bit of highway I've driven so far. I like it better than any vehicle I've ever owned in the short time I've had it. Smooth riding and quiet compared to the Accord I had before it.

Other than the “Look what I have” factor, what would be a reason for buying an EV now?

EV =Exhaust valve IC = Intake closing.
I thought it was going to be something in those lines

I thought maybe you meant to type EC =Exhaust closing and we were going to get to discuss overlap time and MPG vs power or something.

I've only had it for two months so far but I am liking my first hybrid Honda CRV. Gets around 40 MPG in town and 32 on the highway. Plenty of power and super smooth to drive.
