Does the presence of this sign in the hospital entryway oblige me to disarm?

Cover charge to visit a hospital? I find that odd.

I'm no expert, but http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/texas.pdf says that under Title 10 Ch. 46 Rule 46.03 that licensed hospitals and nursing homes are no-no's.

ETA: They don't even have to have a sign.

Yes, but in that list, it's marked with as asterisk, and then there's this:

Items above marked * Do not apply if the actor was not given effective notice under Section 30.06.​

So I think that means they have to have a sign like any other business, and I don't think the one they have, pictured above, is sufficient.

I left the gun in the car anyway, but spent the whole drive down and back wondering if I really had to.
