True, but without insurance, their liability is limited to $100

Now, be a thorn in their side. Call every day. Demand settlement of THEIR SCREW UP and payment on your insured loss. Don't give up.
I'll give them til Tuesday to cough it up with me calling multiple times a day until the deadline. Wish me luck, buddy!!

I hate fedex with a passion!!
The latest with them is my wife ordered some makeup, just a small package, fedex delivered Friday and left it on the porch with my blueheeler guarding it.

Got home, fricken dog looked like a fluesy with the lipstick and eyeliner all over her. 🤣

******* fedex driver didn’t have the common sense to open our front door and stick it in there, did I say I hate fedex with a passion.

Seems to me the issue is more on the dog than the driver.

Maybe I shouldn’t have said guarding it, just waiting for it to be left unattended. But if the driver hadn’t left the package in reach of the dog there wouldn’t have been a problem.

Delivery driver could have left the package between the two doors, no problem.

Unless the delivery instructions say to leave between the two doors, they likely aren't going to. This time of year, you're lucky it wasn't just tossed out by your driveway!

I get it, but dang, common sense is in short supply anymore.
ONLY when you step outside of the realm that is OSA! We got plenty here. :)

Generally speaking, Express drivers will be more cautious with your package than a Ground driver. Employee incl benefits vs contractor no benefits. Thankfully FedEx is starting to consolidate some of that cross over so hopefully more will become employees and take a little pride in their job/company. The customer satisfaction rate for the big 3(USPS, UPS, FedEx) is at an all time low. Not sure on Amazon as their delivery model is a bit different.

I found out a month or two ago the ground delivery folks weren’t actually fedex employees. I figured they were since they all wear the same uniforms and drive fedex vehicles.

But, I hope they do get employed by them and service becomes better.
