Might be time for him to take a stroll across the aisle. At this point, I'd rather he owe a favor to a moderate Dem than Romney, Collins or Murkowski.
My understanding is that there are three Democrat Senators that are inclined to vote for acquittal. Who knows? They might even vote against witnesses, just so their wouldn't be an absolute need to vote for acquittal.
