It works. I still have a home unit around here somewhere that I used for years but I never replaced a broken part on it.

I tell people all the time to use ozone to neutralize bad odors and they just look at me funny. Just happened at work last week.

Where does one acquire one of these devices?

Yep, that will kill about any smell, mold, mildew, virus, bacteria, etc.

Just be sure to vent it for a while after using it. Ozone is a little irritating to humans.

I let it run in the wife’s car for a while when my daughter spilled milk and didn’t tell anyone. It removed the spoiled milk smell.

I had a crockpot of nacho cheese spill in the floor of my car when I was in high school. Was known as the 'cheese car' for quite a while after.

Not the new car smell. That’s a combination of plastics and other toxic materials off gassing.

It will smell like ozone for a while, then nothing.

I have a whole home Ozone unit that I bought off eBay. I also have a portable one that use to leave running in our travel trailer and even used to remove smoke smell out of a car we bought

What kind of car is it?

Looks to be a '02 to '06 Toyota Camry to me....


Odo-Ban also works well on stinks. Can also rub scented dryer sheets on all the cloth surfaces.

If you're into a more 'earth friendly' solution, quarter some apples and distribute them around the car. Also, be sure to replace the cabin air filter.

I recommend putting it on a lift and checking the undercarriage before spending any money on it. The rust you see on the rocker could be a fraction of what's hiding underneath.

Being a Michigan native I can tell you that you will never stop the rust. Get under it and look for corrosion related mechanical problems, brake lines will rust fast, and that’s not something you want to find on the highway! Either clean the dog excrement out of it and sell it, or drive the doors off and spend your savings on something worth the effort. I hate to be a pessimist, but rust is a real tough thing to fix (meaning expensive). If it runs/drives well, and you can use the transportation, I’d just drive it!
