In about 3 weeks you’ll see it in the mail.Well, I got it mailed off this morning. Now we wait.
See my post above, I told them if it wasn’t covered by their warranty to toss it and just email me it isn’t covered. They covered it regardless.
Was it repaired or replaced?
I had no idea you could get a warranty on Gerber or Leatherman multi tools.
Each time I used a brand new one it failed on the first use and got tossed in the trash can.
If I receive one as a gift I never open the package.
I give it to one of my buddies that does not like to go get the proper tool for the job.
Looks like I am odd duck out in this love for these things.
I would rather tie it on a jugline as a weight than actually have to use another one.

Well, Leatherman came thru. Sent my SIL a brand spankin' new Rebar. If you got a broken Leatherman, don't hesitate to send it in. 
Replaced with a "Bond" Leatherman.

I use their “Crunch” which essentially has a built in locking plier.
