After a long day on the tractor..
Go find some wheat cleanings, guys should be having seed wheat cleaned now and there should be a bunch available. It's like $.03-$.05 per pound usually.I disked mine last weekend, will plant tomorrow or Sunday.
Just got prices - 13/13/13 is 17.75 a bag, certified wheat 19.00 per bag
Clover is tough to maintain in Oklahoma. I tried for years in NW Ok to grow some, but finally got three wet summers in a row awhile back with a fantastic crop. But we are back in drought now, so no clover. Only fertilize clover with no nitrogen in the mix. They make their own.I'll throw some clover on top after I disk in the wheat. There's a guy that runs cows on us from Jan-Labor Day, so it doesn't do me much good to plant other stuff.
Have disk and tiller.....will work for whisky! After a long day on the tractor..View attachment 407323
Would that contain weed seeds? I don't know, I've never used wheat cleanings.Go find some wheat cleanings, guys should be having seed wheat cleaned now and there should be a bunch available. It's like $.03-$.05 per pound usually.
Not that I've encountered. Just high numbers of broken berries, so seed at a much higher rate than normal.Would that contain weed seeds? I don't know, I've never used wheat cleanings.
