Make sure you practice with your fire starters. Too many people buy them and then have no clue how to use them. Just don't practice until after the burn bans are over.

Yukon ... I know how to use them. I was a Girl Scout ... Oh, and yeah ... no kidding. These danged wildfires are a bit much.

I just got them to put in our **gasp** BOBs in the cars. (And a couple to throw in with the camping stuff.) I'm not one for "gathering up". I like to "grab and go" ... So we have multiples of just about everything we own ...

If you shave a little of that magnesium on your cereal every morning, you'll be able to start a fire by snapping your fingers within 6-8 months.

+1 on this. Get enough shavings, and you can actually poop lightning bolts. True story.
