Watched the Star Wars saga, in order, not release order. The story was a lot clearer.

The Blacklist started out great. Season 2 lost it's story line and after Season 3, lost me. Just seen where it is still on, didn't know that.

Never got interested, haven't seen a single minute of Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad or Sons of Anarchy.

The cold, blustery days are perfect for binging

Dude!! Embrace the time and pick up a PS5. I just had this conversation with my retired FIL. Playing COD or Battlefield is a blast. I play with a couple of retired veterans. Both in their 60s. Funniest guys online. Pretty sure one is banned right now for shouting “you dirty ***** *******.” He also said other things, but that was the least offensive.

I get what you’re saying though. I don’t have as much time, but I never really got into SG-1 until I binged it on Netflix. Also Atlantis.

If you ever want to take up gaming, hit me up. It’s a great time. If you’re worried about the time it takes to get good, whatever, you got the time.

If you’re an old guy who enjoys yelling at clouds, it brings immense joy shouting at the teenage Chinese players who slide around everywhere. Lol. When you get banned, just renew your IP and start a new account :) I wish every retired old guy played Call of Duty.

I think that SG-1 was the first series I binged,,,
And that was on VHS rented from the local Hastings.

I absolutely loved Atlantis,,,
Their bad guys were so much badder than the Gould.

No matter what the series was or anyone's preferences,,,
It is just so much more enjoyable in a binge.

Imagine if you were reading a truly great book,,,
And could only get one chapter a week.

I remember reading Sci-Fi pulp magazines as a young boy,,,
Waiting for an entire month for the next installment was torture.

As an aside, what did you think of the original movie "Stargate",,,
I remember seeing it the first day it hit the theaters,,,
I left the movie house very disappointed.

Several years later I watched the directors cut,,,
Then it became one of my all-time favorite science fantasy movies ever.

I never got into gaming,,,
And I did try as my brother loves it,,,
For some reason it never twanged my chimes.

I will say that my binging slows down a lot,,,
When the weather gets warm and I can go to the range.

I normally watch 3 to 4 episodes at a time so I don't get burned out. Finished Justified a couple weeks back.
Actually I think you have it right,,,
3-4-5 episodes a day and it all comes together.

More than that and I find I have to go back and re-watch a few episodes.

Back in the 60's and 70's episodes were all stand alone,,,
That show Hill Street Blues changed all that.

They were the first to have 3-4 episode story arcs,,,
With multiple arcs happening at the same time.

Last year I saw the DVD set at Wal Mart for $39.95,,,
Man but the stories are dated by technology,,,
But I really enjoyed watching them again.

There was one episode where a detective spent the entire episode,,,
Trying to find a working pay phone so he could call in a murder he witnessed.
