Hell, I didn't get to wrench one of these beasts, but I sure as hell knew of them. I had to settle for 396 & 427 GM or 390, 429 Ford big block goodness. We were too poor for cammers.

Me, too. Just read about them in the magazines of the day. 440 Magnums for me, had a buddy with a 440 Six Pak Super Bee...those were the days.

I have a hs friend who he and his dad restored Challengers. 440 six pack was thirsty combo but wow when stepping on the pedal.

My cousin had a 1969.5 440-6pack Roadrunner. Went he floored it you couldn't take the dollar bill off the dash. It was a beast. I still kick myself for passing on a clone of it for $12K back in 1980.
