460" 4 barrel in a fox I seen it done and only add on was an electric water pump drive.. it ran low 12's.
Friend stuck a warmed over 400 ford in a fox mercury and it was uncontrollable .. this was 25 years ago.
Much more support for those Fords today.
Turbo on a Ford.
I am almost liking the LS but not just yet.
I still spank a few friends with LS engines in my 4 door 57 with 350" old school with 268H and 305 heads.

I can turn up the wick much cheaper than they can.
So if they start beating me I just need to spend another 100 and drop a second or 2 off my time.

that's cool if you like to keep it old school but i have seen, in person, my good friend drive his foxbody with a junk yard turbo LS (on e85) an hour to the track getting 20 mpg...run an 8.40 1/4 mile...then drive an hour home getting 20 mpg. the car has since gone 8.12.

That is obviously an extreme case but still man good luck ever doing that with a 460 without dropping stupid money.

Not superior to the 302 in every way. A few maybe. And even less so to the 351 deck height engines. You go to rebuild a LS its going to hit the wallet pretty hard. Those are just my opinions and im not here to argue opinions.

I hear ya ..I have been in the 9 second flat boosted LS powered fox bodies running a 325 gear or something like that.. ridiculous power and in a light package.
I always liked light cars to go quick.
Thing is the LS has many followers and this is bringing the price down as competition in the market place is really ramping up.

I still want an inexpensive carbon seal turbo for a draw through set up to keep it really old school.
