When I was in Walmart earlier today,,,
I stopped by the toy section,,,
Hoping to find army men.

They used to sell a bag of 48 for $1.99,,,
These things are great 25-50 yard targets,,,
But I haven't seen the bags of them for months now.

I think they are gone because I did find,,,
A plastic tub of 36 army men for $5.99 a tub,,,
And even then a bunch of the pieces were bunker walls.

I likes hot gluing about 15 of them on a piece of cardboard,,,
And then see how many shot it took me to hit them all.

Well, at the new price that ain't gonna happen no more.

So I got on line and found some images of them,,,
And made a target sheet that anyone can print out and use.

Here's what it looks like,,,

The downloadable file is an easy to print .pdf format,,,
It's a full 8.5" by 11" sheet of paper.

From time to time when I get bored,,,
I'll make some different targets and post them here.

Feel free to use any of them and upload any targets you might create.

Later my friends.

Just don't make targets with a picture of Hillary.

I won't,,,
Or pictures of anyone else for that matter.

I remember targets with Bill Clinton's picture on them,,,
As much as I despised that low-life predator,,,
I thought that was in very bad taste.

I was shooting at an indoor range a few years back,,,
They wouldn't allow any picture targets at all,,,
The owner said it was actually illegal to do.

At the time the targets that were popular were O'Bummer,,,
He said there was a law forbidding shooting at presidential images.

I doubt that it was "law",,,
But again, just in very bad taste.

Now caricatures?,,,
That could be a different story.

I'll stick to novelty targets,,,
And bull's eye targets.

Here's a 4-page set of standard silhouette targets,,,
This is one of my favorites for range fun.

The sample image is of the Ram,,,
240122-silhouette-ram.JPG

The .pdf file has the ram, turkey, pig, and chicken.

I bought 4 of the short ReVersa Target Stands just for these targets,,,
I glue 2 pages of each target to cardboard pieces,,,
And stage them at appropriate distances.

The stands come in 2 heights, 37" and 52",,,
I have some of both but I prefer the short ones,,,
They don't sway as much in an Oklahoma breeze as the tall ones.

I did make one modification to the stands though,,,
I sharpened them on a grinder so they stomp into hard ground easier..

I actually have 4 short and 2 tall stands,,,
A friend and I like to use paper plates glued to cardboard,,,
And try to recreate (copy somewhat closely) Rimfire Steel Challenge stages.

Anyways, stage these at 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards,,,
And give it a try with iron sights.

Stage the targets at 50, 75, 150, and 200 yards,,,
They are challenging even with a scope.

At least they challenge my 72 year old self.

Enjoy,,,
