I would not assume places would recover the system for free. Keep in mind the recovery/recycler machines are very expensive and they have filters that need to be replaced. If the cars system is contaminated then it could ruin anything thats already in the machines tank too.

No way, not strong enough. Get condoms, extra large, not the ones you have at home. They are strong, use them, tie them with a string and take all three thousands of them to the shop and give them to the mechanic for free. Explain to him that the condoms were brand new never used.

It is funny you say that. Sears used to use really large plastic bags to vent refrigerators into. They could put ten to 15 refrigerators worth of freon into them before taking them back to the shop for reclamation.
