These are Cornish cross meat chickens. One month old, fed game bird grower.
Weighed one today @ 4 lbs live weight.

They do put on the pounds in a hurry. Your doing them at a good time of year.
This time of year ought to eliminate any heat strokes. Yum yum enjoy your own home grown chicken, we do.

In one of my chicken threads I mentioned the number of days they were butchered at, 50 some odd days. So they're just super sized chicks. If you dont have tempura batter, get some, I'll picture our favorite . 5 lb bags we get from Amazon . 2 , tbsp cornstarch
1/2 cup light brown sugar
Pinch of salt
1/4 cup rice or cider vinegar
1 clove garlic crushed
6 tbsp ketchup
6 tbsp pineapple juice, saved from can.
1 onion
1 bell pepper, any color
1 small can pineapple bits
1 small can water Crest .
Make the sauce 1st with the 6 ingredients on low heat before adding the fruit and vegetables.

Chicken breast, cut into bite size. Dunked in batter and fried till golden brown.
And of course rice.
