I LOVE Game of Thrones.
Don't have HBO so I bought the BluRay set the first morning it came out at WalMart.
Trying to limit myself to 2 or 3 episodes a week but it is real tough to string it out.

A similar series with a modern setting is
House of Cards
on Netflix.

Both series are basically political in nature but Game of Thrones does show a decent amount of naked woman flesh.

It is impossible to string it out. I watched all of season 3 last night and this morning. About to watch them again.

I've jokingly taken to calling "House of Cards", "Game of Cards". There is some real crossover spoof potential.

My favorite characters are Arya, Tyrion, Bran, and Daenerys in about that order. I've got my theories about the three dragons, three riders idea.

As far as the show goes, I'm really to curious to see what happens if the show keeps on going and runs out of book. There is a chance that book six will be out by the time the show catches up, but there is no way at all that JRRM is going to finish the 7th book in time (unless they start doing 3+ seasons per book).

That commanding general of the Unsullied looks kinda like Obama. A younger version, I thought.

Grey Worm? No way... but damn, I was re-watching Season 3 the other night when they took the city of Yunkai and was impressed with his prowess with the spear (damn that sounded bad... zip it, you dirty jokers!). It's really the only action we've seen with the Unsullied doing much in the way of fighting, as the sack of Astapor was kinda hurried and generalized. I'm looking forward to seeing how the Unsullied fight in unison and formation and such.

The Unsullied will follow orders, that's for sure.

Just finished season 3 tonight.

Damn, the Starks are an endangered species now. I really like how Daenerys is developing. She seems like the character with the most things going her way. Can't figure out why Bran is hell bent on getting north of the wall. Sucks for Arya to be roaming the country trying to get back home only to have it snatched away. She does seem to have turned the corner though on moving forward. Tyrions friction with Jeoffrey is gratifying. Not however as gratifying as it would be if Jeoffrey was getting the Theon Greyjoy treatment. I can not think of a villain more despicable than Jeoffrey. Really a tremendous villain.

Really glad I picked up this show but damn they keep killing off the likeable characters while leaving all of the A-holes. They could have at least killed Jaime off. Favorite characters are Tyrion, Daenerys, Arya in that order.
