Yeah, but your ability to breath isn't quite the same when using meth and fentanyl, right? 90% blockage in your heart also couldn't have an impact?

I'd expect him to say Chauvin caused the death, he's a prosecution witness. But to say without qualification a healthy person WOULD have died seems like an over reach.
That’s just, like, his opinion, man.

He’s an expert witness, and his opinion carries some weight (if you aren’t an expert on a subject, you’re not allowed to express an opinion on the subject while on the witness stand), but, in the end, it’s still just his educated opinion.

Then acknowledge the possibility that any other human would have died because someone kept a knee on their neck for 9 minutes...
If the officer was cutting off blood flow to the brain, it probably wouldn't have lasted 9 minutes.

There are carotids on both sides. I don't think you can do a choke hold on just one.

NOT a doctor. Just my 2¢ ... :drunk2:

That was my whole point. He didn't say there was a possibility. He said any healthy person WOULD have died. I don't believe that. How much do you want to bet it could be demonstrated that there would be healthy survivors?

I thought it was interesting that they allowed Floyd's brother to testify as they did. Apparently in MN it is allowed as what they called 'spark of life' testimony. It basically was just he loved his mother, was good brother and so on. Just for sympathy. Seems like just trying to tug at heart strings wouldn't be allowed, but in MN it is I guess. Defense is supposed to start their side tomorrow.
