Umm, is that MP-40 what I think (and hope) it is?
Well, if you think and hope its a real live original German MP40, you're correct.
As far as dealers where you can just walk in and pick one out, I don't know of any, at least around here. But if you google "Machine Gun Dealers" you'll find several online. Very hit and miss whether any given dealer will have an MP40 at any given time, though. The classifieds sections of Subguns.com and Sturmgewehr.com are a good place to look. Be aware that online sales prices tend to be on the high side, but bargains do occasionally turn up. I'd also recommend going places like the Wyandotte machine gun shoot, and talking to some of the participants. Most are happy to help out someone interested in getting into the hobby, and will share leads if they have them. A large percentage of automatic weapons sales are simply the result of "word of mouth" in the enthusiast community, without ever being publicly advertised.
Hope that helps. Good luck!
Thanks! It's fun, too.
I was fortunate to get a really good deal on it, back before prices went nuts on full auto stuff.
