I am looking at selling my Gen 3 Glock 17c and need a good starting point. I have seen prices all over for Gen 4 but nothing on Gen3. Thanks.

How many mags? Is it low round count, do you have the box, etc?

Without knowing if the compensated model fetches a premium, I'm going to throw out a range of 500-600 depending on some of the factors we don't know yet. I'm sure others will weigh in though.

Avg Joe here who wants a C-model would probably give you 500-550 no problem w/ box and 2-3 mags. A non-C G17 gen-3 is still probably worth 450-525 here depending, and yours being more rare is probably worth a little more anywhere on the price spectrum to the right buyer.

Nice gun BTW, I'd be firm on 550 if it were mine and I had the box, but again I don't know the premium for a C model so that could change up OR down depending on how bad I needed to sell and if the C-model is in fact worth more (or not).

I just sold a 19-c to a friend yesterday for $750. It was anib with box, mag, back straps. As close to 100% condition as you will find. He got a steal, and he knows it. On gun joker they are going in the neighborhood of $900/1000, selling for that price.

Armslist will probably get you much better then $550 for sure, but there seems to be more and more scammers on there so be careful. Be ESPECIALLY careful of those who ask for more pictures sent to their email, and not going thru Armslist.

Glws, that pistol is worth more then $550 for sure if you have the box and accessories with it and it’s in good shape. It looks clean from the pics andthe fiber optic might detract a smidge, but those are easy to replace!

Regards,

I say this respectfully. You're not from around here so I'll have to add this. Different state different market.

And I’ll say this, respectfully of course, nonsense.

Regards,
Completely different market here in OK. One has to go to armslist or GB to rip people off. I see you ripped your friend off too. He could get a new one from PSA with shipping to his ffl for less. lol Good job.

So do you want to sell it? Or maximize your margin?

I'd look at what new Gens are going for, (consider most people will just get a new one if your is over that price) then look at AL and GB and see what has sold, not what is priced on there.

If you want to sell it, start at 5% under and go from there (applies to AL and GB). Here, you might could get $600 or so but there are some serious Glock dudes on here that know exactly how much one would be worth - buy price and sell price.
If you want to max out Margin, go 10%-20% over and wait until eternity for a sucker to show up.

I think for max $$$ list on Gunbroker/Armslist and allow sales to CA since this is a Gen3 model. I don't know if the 17C is on the roster, but I've heard that's the reason some of the Gen3s are still valuable is that they can be purchased in CA.
