I have tried every hollow point mfg for a 9 mm. I have shot every one of them into water and compared what the bullets did over the years as new HP's come on the market. Nothing has beat the Hornady yet in the water that we shoot into. I load my conceal carry with Hornady FTX 115 critical defense.

Look on you tube for this video. It is impressive.

In a G26....what says everyone? Is it safe? Would there be too much recoil? Would a regular +P load be a better route to go?

I prefer the Winchester Ranger 127 gr T- Series +P+. It is hard to find, but comes in boxes of 50, so you test the batch in your carry pistol and have plenty left.

These are my top 2 loads for SD ammo.

Both good loads...and performed similarly in my detailed wetpack tests. I lost those posts in one of the server/database crashes...wish I would have saved them elsewhere.

Tell you what I will offer. You come by and I will give you one round of every Hollow Point I have on hand, and you go test them yourself. That will save you from buying multiple boxes. Stack you some news paper in a tub, soak it down over night, toss you couple old t shirts and a jacket on it, and test yourself to see which one expands and penetrates to your liking. We used to do it this way for years. So your welcome to come by, do it up and if you feel like it post your results.

I like the heavier loads. 147 JHP gold dot or the 135 Gr duty load. Especially is a smaller carry pistol due to recoil for the wifey. Why not just go with 357 sig?
