9mm Defensive Ammo Weight Preference?

I switched to Civil Defense 50g 9mm. Ballistics performance holds up and (importantly) full energy transfer with less likelihood of passing through walls. The light weight saves 3oz of weight as well (in my 15 + 1 Capacity)

Seriously, 50g @ 2200fps+ is no joke (and it penetrates Level III)

I’m a huge proponent of speed kills in projectiles.

I would lean towards 115 or 124 gr.. there are gel tests available everywhere, do easy to see how the ammo you csn find “ supposedly” performs. Im a big fan of the solid copper barnes pistol bullet, and its loaded by a couple different places. I’ve shot problem critters with plain winchester white box hp ( in both weights), and it does well, but not as good as the solid copper hp..
