My great uncle was in WW2 and served in the occupation troops after the war. While there, he became friends with a German priest who had worked in the underground during and before the war. He asked my uncle to dispose a pistol he obtained during his clandestine activities. He was afraid he would be caught with it. Shortly before he died back in the 70s, he have it to me. I would never sell or trade that Browning HP, complete with waffenamt stamps. My son has his eye on it too.

Stocking for barter and scarcity.
I'd probably try to find some vintage ammo boxes ( put current ammo in) and see if they were willing to barter for some 60 yr old 22 ammo. Tell um that's all I have to trade. You'd find out if they needed the ammo or not.
