Great memorial gift for children.

So my wife's grandfather passed away recently and while we knew it was coming it was still very hard on my wife and our three children. I heard about this lady through church that will take garments of the deceased and turn them into bears for memorial gifts. She is very reasonable on prices (half or less of what you will find on Etsy), great with communication, and very flexible with whatever you need. They are relocating to Oklahoma soon so local deals will be a reality soon. The last three are the bears that will be going to our girls.

I have seen similar “memorials” made from the uniforms of
LEOs and service members. I imagine these become treasured keepsakes. Great idea.

Very nice, something they will treasure I am sure. My wife had quilts made using her dad's overalls. It turned out great. The kids were arguing over who was gonna get it until she gave all of them one for Christmas. Had a flash back to when they were little all 4 crying at the same time.

My oldest brother had a ton of shirts when he passed away(much too young) and his wife made quilts, all hand sewn, for my self, my other brother and our three sisters, his three stepchildren, and his two sons from his first marriage. All the quilts have functional pockets from the shirts, the cuffs are included, and all the buttons. Yes, he had a lot of shirts, all western style, except for the white shirt he was buried with.

I'm sure she made one for herself as well.
