Unless you have a lifetime license it's the day you have to get a new one. For those of you who don't know you can get a 5 year fishing license, it will expire 5 years from when you buy it. I got mine last night and it is cheaper than buying it year to year. I don't even know if they had a lifetime license option anymore. Unless it has changed you have to buy the 5 year online. I didn't know it was even available till after the guy sold me my 1 year license last January.

I just checked the OWD website and there is no lifetime license that I saw. 5 year combo hunting and fishing, 5 year hunting, 5 year fishing and all the others. It's cheaper to buy the 5 year if you can.

Stupid way do to things. Why don't they just make them good from August to August?

Thats what ticks me off...I bought my one year fishing liscense last April. Why the F*#k can't I use it until April?!?! Same with my hunting liscense, bought right before Rifle season opened. Why isn't it good till next year?

I think we're all getting taken for a ride by these OWDC crooks.

I don't think the ODW are crooks, but just have a system that has been in place for so long they are comfortable with it. I know when the wife and I go to Missouri trout fishing, We just go to a sporting goods counter anywhere including the fly shop at the resort we stay at, and they enter our DL# into the machine, it kicks out a license that is good from one year to the next on the day it was purchased. If we misplaced our license, and go back before the year is up, it will issue a duplicate, and we are good to go. Pretty easy.

I got my lifetime about 8 years ago.Best investment I've made in a while.I usually shoot 5-7 deer a year and the money I saved on tags alone has paid for it. The lifetime hunting license is still available at $675.00. It is alot of money but a good deal if you hunt alot.

Well their shoddy system costs me money. Unless I purchase a liscense at 12:01 January 1st, i'm not getting everything I paid for. If I bought a 1 year liscense right now it would only be valid for the next 10 hours. Thats rediculous. That Missouri system sounds perfect. After a recent trip up to Joplin, Missouri is looking better and better. Coming from Oklahoma, I never knew roads could be that smooth.

I'm starting to understand why everyone hates this state...Our roads suck, our beer is basically water, our wifdlife department scams me out of every dollar it can get...etc etc...Almost makes me want to move to Arkansas or something. Almost.
