42"x28" footprint 8.17 SQFT 1115LBS/8.17 = 136.5 LBS/SQFT even with a 1000lbs of guns and ammo youre still at 259 LBS/SQFT. If your floors are sound you should be ok.

But almost exactly what I was thinking, only in lbs per sq inch.

International building code requires armories to have a minimum uniformly distributed live load capacity of 150 #/sq. ft. Concentrated load (as in your safe) isn't specified because of how quickly the weight can add up and these areas; they need to be designed specifically for what will be stored.

If I were you, shore it near the corners to the ground and add joist hangers. That's a lot of stress on wood floor joists. Better safe (get it?) than sorry.
