Listening this AM and late caller had a good question: In those states that have made it illegal to own/possess magazines in excess of ten rounds capacity, would a belt fed 1919 semi-auto Browning be legal?

A belt is considered a feeding device just like a magazine. That is why most laws state “magazine or other high capacity feeding device” The “other high capacity feeding device” gets drums, belts etc.

It may fly if you only have belts of 10.
