Oklahoma utilities as well as other states already sell excess electricity on the open market to the highest bidder.
It can be very profitable at times for the utility companies.
The state cannot profit from the private utilities.
BTW, sarcasm on the selling of power to eliminate state income tax, however the utility could be a significant source of funds through taxation....

I agree. We need guard towers on Oklahoma's borders, and a troll asking three questions before they can enter.
They have already invaded Southern Arizona where I live and they seems to bringing their ideas here with them.. My window decal gets a lot of comments and finger waving.
"DON'T CALIFORNIA MY ARIZONA"
They have created a housing shortage and has driven the prices up over 100K!

Imagine the price tag on a new battery for this type of vehicle.
Hell, I spend $140 for a battery for my gas hog.
Quitcher bitchin! My chevy truck needed a $200 battery earlier this year. And that was the cheap battery at Autozone. :) Still beats $30K for a new battery for a 2012 Chevy Volt... Also earlier this year, the 2010 Accent needed a $170 battery. It's tiny compared to the truck battery.

The fawking idiots in commiefornika can't even charge their EV's anymore if they need to go somewhere and they want to go total EV by 2035?
It's fun to ridicule the utter asininity of Khaleephonya, but this, in reality, isn't much different than what the electricity providers do in Oklahoma during the summer. They're not telling them to never charge their EVs, just asking them to do it in off-peak hours (i.e, before 4pm or after 9pm).

For reference, OEC's peak hours are 3pm to 8pm during the summer.
