One thing I never hear said is to keep your head somewhat level when turning. Not a huge deal on a Harley but the brain doesn't work quite right at speed when your head is tilted sharply. Notice this guy:

Update. I found out by reading the book pstmstr loaned me (thanks Mike) that there are balancing differences between the Yamaha's I used to ride and this Harley. With the Yamaha's I rode, the foot pegs and controls were near the center of the bike. With the Harley, there are foot boards and the controls are forward of where I'm used to them being. That puts my legs and feet in a different position which changes the way the bike handles for me.

I have to learn to adapt to the new center of gravity.
