I have an older havahart live trap cage and I’m not sure what is wrong with the trap. I believe the rod that connects to the trigger plate is supposed to be on the outside of the cage rather than the inside. The trigger won’t hold the gate to the proper height. I’m stumped… any info will help thanks. I have found videos for the newer havahart traps but none similar to this one

I think I have one like yours with the hook.
This one has the rod on the outside.
I have some inside and some outside. When critters get in them, they can really screw up the trigger.
Sometimes it takes some pretty good force to get things bent back where they should be.

What bait do you use for Armadillo?
I do not think you can.
You will have to funnel one into the trap unless you have another armadillo to lure one in.
They are pretty easy (insert fun) to catch by hand unless you are a slow runner and do not like tackling critters.
Funnel them with boards, landscaping timbers, etc
