Heading to Hochatown/ Beavers Bend

The wife and I are heading down to the cabin in Hochatown today for a few days. The annual kayak fishing tournament is this weekend. Im not fishing in it just thought I would check it out.
Looking forward to eating some catfish at Stevens Gap. Hopefully will wet a hook in Beavers Bend park on the lake if it doesn't rain.
If it dose rain I guess we will throw some money away at the casino in Broken Bow lol.

Was there a couple weeks ago. Was the perfect time without the crowds!

Last time we were there, I was fishing with a guide on the lower mountain fork when the flooding rain started. He kept moving us downstream ahead of the muddy water, and finally had to quit. I think they got 8" of rain in a few hours and it totally destroyed the trout fishery below Broken Bow lake.
Beautiful place before that happened. I understand it was rebuilt and flooded again.

I just tent camp, way to cheap for a cabin. We just sleep in mummy bags

I used to have a cabin on about 2 acres. Was in the fam before I was born and I’m 41. Was given to me back in 95 but life happens. Eventually had to sell it bc it was too much work. Now I kinda wish I’d kept the property and just hauled off the old ratty trailer. But that’s life. Beautiful country down there.

Just be aware many cabins have cameras on the outside. In this case, we discovered this one watches the back door AND the hot tub. Hope I don't end up on the internet....
