I thought it would be a cool topic for nothing but Heirloom guns...Guns given to you by a Family member. These, to me, are guns that have intrinsic value that far outweighs their actual value.

I have one gun that was passed down to me: A K frame Smith (Model 19) in 4" P&R in the original box with original receipt from when my Grandfather bought it (It was $303). I added the stag grips on it for the first anniversary of my Grandfather's passing just to dress it up (Heck, maybe some day I'll put Ivory on it). I'll never sell it and one day will give it to my Son with the story behind it...It's maybe worth $500 or so, but it is LITERALLY not for sale. It's the only physical connection that I still have with my Grandpa, who died over 5 years ago.

I need to take some pics but I have several guns from my dad:
A bolt action .22 from the 50s. It is a Glenfield which his older sister bought for him when he was a kid. I believe it was likely a brand carried by Sears or Wards.
16 gauge single shot
A couple of percussion blackpowder pistols and rifles he assembled from kits.
My sister claimed his Ruger Bearcat .22
Almost forgot the 20 gauge auto from the 60s my granddad gave to me before he passed away.

None of these are guns that are worth much but mean the world to me because of who gave them.
