Looking for a hand-gun for my father-in-law. Will be his first and probably only gun. Probably will be kept in truck and night stand. Very little concealed-carry. Which reasonably priced gun would you recommend?
A GLOCK 17/19 would be a good place to start.
I am a Glock owner myself. Have a 23. Would you recommend it over a revolver?
I personally prefer semi-autos to revolvers, but it's very much a personal preference. You might take him to a fun store and let him check out several models himself to get a feel for what he would like best.
Might suggest some training on how to use it also.
