Without a bipod/tripod my AR10 just feels large, heavy, and clunky to hold while shooting. For hunting and mobility I would go with one of the AR15 rounds. Don't get me wrong...we all need one!
The weight of an AR10 over an AR15 is one reason that I have been hesitant to get one. Some AR15 rifles are even heavier than I care for.

Maybe I should look into one of these. They are only three grand.

Ruger makes something similar now. That said, my 16" M5 isn't at all heavy. It's not a bare bones AR15 by any means, but it's light and I can ring 10" steel at 300 yards all day.
The Ruger SFAR? I was just looking at that. The 20" version shows 7.3 lbs. and the 16" is 6.8. Only $1100 for the 16" version. Getting better. :)

Nope, look for cmmg guardians that take Glock mags. Cmmg simplified their naming, Those are the same thing as a banshee mkgs. So it was about 40% less than my banshee.
I've been looking. Where do you find one for sale and what do you consider a bargain for one?

SFAR here. Runs great!

Edit: yeah I know it’s on the ground, but she’ll be fine. Was as soon as I got into blind. And was using a 1997 camera tripod to get somewhat steady on. Need that BOG death grip.
