SFAR here. Runs great!

Edit: yeah I know it’s on the ground, but she’ll be fine. Was as soon as I got into blind. And was using a 1997 camera tripod to get somewhat steady on. Need that BOG death grip.
Purdy!

I had my Spotting Scope clamped in a few weekends ago and was using it to spot at 300 with my LPVO. Wind was a bugger. I may have sold a couple as spotting scope tripods. After we came back from a cold walk down, 3 scopes were laying on the ground, but mine was still there. I can't speak for what they were using, but mine was and has been solid as a rock.

Still haven't shot off it yet. Makes for taking awesome photos though.

I consolidated calibers years ago and I haven't really wanted to add calibers that I don't already have before now, but lately I've been tempted to get an AR-10.

I recently picked up a 8" .300 Blackout so I'm kinda thinking that I might as well get a .308 too.

I would be using it for the occasional deer or hog hunt at distances that I don't feel the 300 BLK wouldn't be adequate.

At this time I don't really have a great place to hunt but maybe that'll change before too long.
I'd sell off that 300BLK stuff and a couple 5.56 and get a good 308 gas gun. AR10 or LR308.

Just picked up an M1A scout to go with my other 7.62x51 arms, K98, M1 Garand, M1 Navy NM....
The 18" squad scout was a dream on the range last week with a red dot, fast target acquisition and ran through multiple clips without a hic up.
7.62x51 absolutely a go to cartridge
