Help with getting C&R license in Tulsa

I am thinking of getting my C&R license and have a couple questions from those who have done it. I have researched and found a form to complete and it states to give a copy to the chief law enforcement officer in my jurisdiction. Does this mean I just take a copy to the sheriffs office and drop it off or do they have to do anything with it to prove I turned it in? Has anyone else applied for one in the present climate? How long approximately does it take from when I file the paperwork? Is there anything else that I am forgetting?

You can drop it off when you do your prints, or just mail them a copy.

For C&R you can just mail them a copy. All you are doing is notifying them that you are getting the C&R. There was no finger prints with the C&R license when I applied. I did mine about 8 months ago and have saved enough on brownells and midway orders to pay for the C&R for many many years.

when i got mine i hand deleivered it to the police cheif cause i knew him personally and he signed and dated it and handed it back to me,and he said good glad to know we have someone watching our backs if needed and we know, then mailed everything in with my $30 took maybe 6 weeks to get them back.no finger prints required.

$30 for 3 years. It's a bargain and you can have eligible firearms delivered to your front door.

I still need to send mine into Brownells, etc.

yep yep $30 for 3 years. I've had mine since 06.
