Im not really sure the last time i was summoned i got escorted out of the court house by a sheriffs deputy and was told to never return for telling a lawyer i refused to answer his questions about my families personal affairs and that was nearly 30 years ago and has never been summoned since.
Nice….lol.

The Court Clerk prepares and issues about 1,800 jury summons each month except July and August when no jury trials are held. Names are selected at random from the list of licensed drivers or persons holding a current state identification document.

So I’m assuming that means licensed drivers in the appropriate county?

I wonder what the state identification documen is….

I would guess that the county code comes from the address on the license. Last go-'round, I got my license renewed in Tulsa, but the county code matches the county of my legal residence, which is on the license.
Well according to the link in my post above that you quoted, the county number that’s on my license isn’t the same as the county I live in but speaking of which, the numbered county code is on the back of the license in the upper left-hand corner, correct? Note, I have a CDL, too.

I've been around many decades and never got to be on a jury. I know some people hate it, but I'd love to sit there and hand out justice. Heck, put me on full time. I'd show up every day and lower the axe.
See, I’m sure there’s plenty more people just like you so why they feel like they gotta make people do it who don’t want no part of it??…lol.

So, is your schtick to get your license from a different county than your residence to avoid jury duty which is an obligation?
Pretty much. Don’t have time for it and don’t have the interest in it just despite that someone a long time ago thought it was a good idea to say it was our civil duty especially when there’s plenty of people who would bend over backwards to be on a jury. It’s not like they do this because no one wants to.

It is your civic duty.
Again- what, just because someone said so?
Hopefully you'll never have to have a jury of your peers that don't GAF like you don't.
Well hopefully I won’t ever be in that position in the first place but again, there’s plenty of people who would love and bend over backwards to do this “civic” duty so why you so negative about it?? Again, it’s not like there aren’t any people who don’t want to do it so ease up.

The code is in the lower right corner on the back of my license, right next to the word "COUNTY". They might've change the license since my last renewal, though; the one they show on the state Web site looks different than mine.

Well crap, before I created this thread I guess I shoulda just referred to the back of my actual license rather than being lazy and only looking at it on the OK Mobile ID app on my phone because on the back of my actual license, it shows the county it was issued and unfortunately that county is the one I live in.

I guess it’s good thing I only opted for a 4-year license and not a ten-year one. Hopefully they leave me alone for the next couple years but then again if what that guy said that renewed it is true about CDL holders not being able to go to a tag office of their choice anymore, I’m screwed.

But I’m curious- and this goes out to everyone else who also doesn’t have a CDL but the last time you renewed your license, were you able to still go to the tag office of your choice and renew? I think at this point it’s pretty safe to assume that if anybody renews online, they’re gonna just automatically mail it to you by default and it’s probably gonna show on the back of the license the county you live in.
