Oh ... I was laughing so hard I forgot to say that actually does work sometimes. So does a really nasty argumemt -- I mean a REAL one -- the more anger you can muster up the better it works.

The biggest problem with both of these techniques is that they can also backfire and then you are worse off than when you started out. It's kinda a crapshoot.

EDIT: After considering what you said... there are probably circumstances after about the 6th or 7th time in the evening where one might have done that just to go ahead and get some rest. Sometimes it's hard to get them to talk after they collapse from exhaustion...
