Kinda, The 226 was the base they used because Arex liked the design, but the 1S and CP really are different guns than the Sig.

Thanks! I'd write a full review, but there are alreadya few excellent youtube vids covering the Rex. I can tell you that I absolutely love this gun and it has become my favorite EDC. ( I carry 14-16 hours a day, every day) I have carried other pistols and I feel the Rex suits me the best. I have around 300 rounds thru it (115gr fmj to 124gr psd rounds) and have had NO malfunctions whatsoever. It's such a great gun that I am going to buy the 1S full size version soon.

No dealer that I know carries it so I ordered it thru Weapons Inc in Bixby. I called Chris Tuesday and he had it in his shop the very next day.
I prefer to buy locally since it keeps the local shops in business and I usually get to check out the gun before I buy it.
