I ended up booking at Shiloh Ranch. Earliest date I could get was the 27th of May. My 7 year old boy is pumped and I am too.

Its a good place. They will work with you to make sure you get a good experience. When I was there, They offered an option to buy food from them. It was basically casseroles, and things like that. We did, and it was really tasty, and we didn't have to do anything but eat.

There is a tree that has hundreds of arrows shot into it in the campground. When you screw up an arrow shooting a hog, either by a miss, or a hit, they shoot the arrow into the tree. Looks like a huge Porkey pine. :D

Sorry about that lost pig. That's a terrible feeling.

FWIW - I've shot a bunch of hogs, and I like to hit 'em in the neck, just in front of the shoulder. Puts 'em down right there, and doesn't waste meat. (I usually use 7x57 or .308) My son does the same with identical results using a 7.62x39.
