There are often illegal. Oops, I mean, undocumented slot machines in Lodges VFW’s etc. Either that or they caught some of the members jay walking again.

Well I for one feel extremely protected and served. Them guys minding their own business in the bars and lodges were a serious threat to homeland security. Whatever would we do without our brave heroes protecting us from such terrible domestic threats?

I wonder if they ever feel like they are just horsing around at work. I couldn't have a job that my biggest accomplishment for the week was busting some guys at the VFW or Elks Lodge for playing a little poker.

Kinda reminds me when the Piedmont police man wrote a ticket for a toddler peeing outside. I wonder where that officer is now.

Well, according to Chris West, formerly with the OHP, "they" are just trying to clean up the county and put a stop to any illegal activity. Elks Lodge rep says "if" they had any profits those went to youth programs in the community ... Makes your head spin, all the spinning going on ... :disappoin

There is bound to be more to this story. Locals, everywhere, know that OWGs gamble at their OWG clubs, and in each others homes. There appears to be some sort of agreement in place, everywhere that allows this victimless (except for the tax folks) crime to occur in perpetuity.

Something upset the balance of nature, and someone, probably someone who was a party to the "agreement," pulled the pin. When the Feds are asked for help with a federal crime, and the asker suggests negative media coverage if fed help is not forthcoming, what are they gonna do?

Unless we hear of a national pogrom, I suspect it was either someone who didn't get their cut or more likely someone with a political agenda trying for recognition .

I know nothing about this beyond what I have seen here. These are just guesses, but they make more sense than anything I have seen posted so far. If I were one of the LEOs involved in the raids, I would be near death from embarrasment, and would be saying nothing in order to protect my job security.

Any indian casino's nearby? They probably got butthurt that the elks were spending their hard earned gambling dollars somewhere other than with them.

I ain't anti indian but I am anti indian casino. those things are a blight on the face of Oklahoma.
