Can anybody tell me anything about Horton edition 1911s?...and not the Night 45....I'm asking about a SS Compact, 4" slide with officer frame and a serial number that starts with LW....I cannot find anything on them, other than the Night 45 edition.

What he said, I'm sure you know LW stands for Light Weight. If your looking for a nice LW Commander, you might take a look at a Wiley Clapp Colt. It's a good price for what all you get, if you can pick it up for under $1200

Yeah, I knew that it was a light weight model. I've never seen a commander with an officer grip though. It shoots good, feels really good, just didn't know anything about Lew Horton, I tried to google it, but only came up with info on the Springfield Armory Night 45.
