She isn't doing herself any favors, releasing pics like this:

I'm not judging her by her background, age, life choices, etc. But generally it isn't wise to pose for photos like that. Here is the related article, by the way: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-Shane-Martin-looking-prescription-drugs.html

I understand where they’re coming from, but not everyone is as cool and collected as Sarah McKinley. It’s natural to celebrate the successful defense of hearth and home. But for every gun-brandishing hero or heroine who blows away the intruder, there are many more that get shot with their own guns during a struggle.

"We ought to have background checks at gun shows and at every gun shop and not allow anybody who’s had any law enforcement, any legal problems with the law, or certainly any mental problems. I mean just make ‘em [gun laws] as tight as you can across the board," Press proclaimed.

And then he added, "But in this case? Boy, (exhales) I think absolutely she did the right thing!"

He blathered on: "I’m sure it wasn’t easy for her....Talk about a cool, calm, collected cucumber. Who had called 911 first, not shoot first and then ask questions later. First, call? Very responsible thinking on her part, and I applaud that 911 operator, too....Damn right she did the right thing!"

OKAY...
That guy is a total whack job talking out of both sides of his mouth. Probably leads a sheltered life in a rich and mostly safe neighborhood and never confronted by evil for real in his pampered bleeding heart liberal life.

I'd like to toss him in that trailer with nothing but a phone and have some guy that looks like Hulk Hogan smash in the door and come at him with a knife. See if he changes his tune then.

God what idiots some journalists are!

I just don't understand how anybody would be in favor of the guy breaking into somebody's house? It just blows my mind that any normal-thinking person would even think this is controversial?? If you break into somebody's house, you can use deadly force to protect yourself. I just don't understand why that is wrong with most people these days??
I'm sorry the kid was killed, but that wouldn't have happened if he'd hadn't broken into somebody's house!! If she hadn't killed him, she would have been raped and murdered herself. Is that so hard to understand?

I wouldn't have posed for a pic like that, thats bad taste if you ask me. If I was put into that situation, I wouldn't be posing with my gun afterwards! Yikes!

I very seriously doubt the Sarah McKinley came up with the idea for this picture. But at her age and the events that she had just gone through, I expect that she was quite vulnerable to the suggestions of the reporter/photograher and she did what they asked her to do. If you will notice in the lower lefthand & righthand corner there are the ABC logos and icons. That tells me alot about the reasons of why she was posed as she was when the photo was taken--liberal journalism on their anti-gun agenda trip. But all that being said, I still wish that she had not posed for this type of picture/photo.

If someone breaks into my house(with or without a weapon), I'm going to assume they want to rob/kill/rape/eat me. After this assumption I will(if able) put no less than 2 shots into them. I don't care what someone's background is, all that matters is their actions "in the moment".
