Since the perps were out the door and running away when gramps took that last shot, anyone think that he would be charged with some kind of crime if it happened here?

I was wondering the same thing. I like the "moving to cover" explanation best.

This really shouldn't be a funny video, since innocent people could have been hurt. But, since it turned out this way, it kinda is. Big bad robbers in their ski masks met their match that day. It should end up like that more often.

I wonder if we can gift him some range time and a larger caliber weepon?

Considering the weapon, It was sufficient if he had the correct ammo, and was good enough to hit where he aimed. I counted 6 shots, and didn't see any reloads, so he shot untill the gun was empty.
Corbon HP in a .380 achives the 10" of penetration the FBI says is lethal.

Gunfire in an enclosed room is incredibly loud. I don't care if its a .22.

And getting shot sucks, even if it's a .22 (so they should be behind a desk with their fingers in their ears) :D

I'd wager most of the people in there had never seen a gun being fired and it was probably a little surreal for most of them. You see that in battle sometimes (despite training and preparations, some folks just get overwhelmed and are sort of beside themselves).
