Original Buffalo Skinner - picked it up for $16 not sure if that is a good deal or not, but I liked it, so I bought it. Gonna sharpen it up and give it a try.

Solingen usually means that it came from Solingen, Germany, so the chances are good that it's at least made from a quality steel.

I was in Omaha this past week and there is a knife store closing (Omaha Knife) the owner died. It is pretty much wiped out by the time I got in there, but everything is 20-40% off, he had some pretty fancy switch blades there, they must have been fancy 250-600$ regular price. He (the brother) also has what's left on-line. He had a box full of old knives and I found this one and asked him what he wanted for it - he just threw a number out there, 20$ less 20%.
