My son bought a used I pod touch from a friend & it is loaded with songs we want to keep & put on our computer. I am ipod illiterate I was told that if you sunc it it will erase everything on it. Help thanks
I believe what you were told is correct. If you sync it, you will lose everything on the ipod.
I don't know of a work-around to download what you have on the touch to your computer without having to purchase 3rd party software. I was in a similar boat a year ago or so. I just went ahead and sync'd it and went with my own music.

I dont think that it will erase everything off of the ipod, but if you want the music from the ipod on your computer you are going to need a program like Idump.
