Hey Soonerwings....

How do I answer your question as stated above this post...^^^^^

Having had my 52nd birthday a few weeks ago, my 6 month doctor check up last Friday(which was perfect by the way) and how good my life is now(married and such) I just decided to quit.

Pure and simple. I'm 11, years older than my wife and we're in the process of planning her early retirement..in other words...how quick can we make the permanent move to Vegas.

I've been very fortunate in my life endeavors, good cigars being just one of many numerous pleasures I've had the chance to encounter. Hearing my doctor tell me( another good fortune) what good shape I'm in for a cigar smoking, fatty food eating, beer and whiskey drinking, non-blood pressure medication nor cholesterol medication, viagra free, guy I am!!!

I know we're all going to die sometime and this weekend it hit me...I know-after 30+ years of smoking and chewing tobacco ....I just want to do what I can to help reduce that dream we're living and planning for......either a permanent move to Vegas or 6 months there, 6 months back in Edmond......we've already bought a condo in Vegas.

Smoking is one of many things I can live without. Trust me, I'm a realists...I can be killed in a car accident tonight, tomorrow, or whenever....or however.

***I have absolutely no ill will toward smoking cigars or anyone who does. This is a personal choice*** I have smoked many quality non-Cuban cigars and a numerous amount of Cuban...even the very rare Cuban Davidoff and Dunhill cigars. I have had a humidor room ( a closet converted) made with Spanish cedar and a great humidification system filled with excellent cigars.

Those days are over.....I've been there and done that. For me, it's time to move on from the cigar scene. Well, maybe I should retract the word "over".....I've got a few Cuban Davidoff stashed away for special occasions.

It just seems that I won't miss to much not smoking cigars AND it's getting harder and harder to find places to smoke....especially with friends. Heck, most of the ..if not all...poker tables are smoke free in Vegas. So in Vegas I smoke with my buddies on a boat in the lake or when we drive out to the desert to shoot guns.

My wife doesn't mind me smoking in an appropriate place. I know in her mind she wishes I would quit...she doesn't say stop....but that eleven year difference...in her mind she's thinking I'll pass on before her.............just reduce or limit what could expedite the process!!! :lookaroun

I guess you can really say that I'm limiting my cigar smoking......very limited.

***As for drinkin', gamblin' and being a guy.........that process will continue!!!
