The wound has to be big enough to PACK dirt in it, not rub it on. It's about plugging the hole.

You need dirt AND electrical tape.
Tried to stitch it but my needle wont go through
Dang it, ........spray it with some B12 carb cleaner. That will clean it out, then wrap it with a rag and tape. You will be good as new once you stop yelling and cursing.
